Chairman - Loren Later is serving in his first year as Chairman of the Lane GOP. He was a candidate for US Senate in 2010. Loren is the Vice President of Knife River's Prestress Division in Harrisburg, Oregon where he is busy building Oregon's infrastructure. He has been active in the community where he currently serves on the BSA Oregon Trails Council Board of Directors. Loren and his three sons are all Eagle Scouts. His wife Elisa owns a small business in Lane County and his daughter Natalie attends Springfield High School where she is active in sports, choir, and drama. Loren has a passion for time on Oregon's rivers and lakes with fly rod in hand, and hiking the Cascades.
Vice Chair - Paul Barnett is a life long Republican. As a teenager he was involved in the Barry Goldwater campaign and considers himself a Goldwater/Reagan Republican. Throughout his life many of his ideas and ideals have changed, but the core values he believes in have never varied. In 1966 Paul joined the Air Force and spent four years in England where he met his wife, Lucy. Upon returning to the States, he spent the rest of his working life in retail, moving to Eugene in 1992 to open his own business (More than Miniblinds). Paul became more intimately involved in local politics a few years ago, became an alternate delegate and member of the Executive Committee. This is Paul’s first term as Vice Chair.
Treasurer - Chuck Moss is a life long Republican who can proudly and TRUTHFULLY say, "I voted for Goldwater." Chuck is retired but spent his working life in the accounting field after graduating from St. John’s University, Jamaica, New York. He has worked in the health care field and in county government, both in the finance field. Chuck became a PCP three years ago and was elected to the Executive Board, 2 years ago as an alternate delegate. For the last two years he has also served as Chairman of the Lane County PCPs.
Secretary & Board Counsel - Laura Cooper Fenimore, a lifelong Republican and native Oregonian, a graduate of Reedsport High School and the University of Oregon. She received her law degree from the University of Washington in 1986, and after graduation served in a Federal Appellate Judicial Clerkship position at the US Court of Appeals, 5th Circuit. She began private practice in 1987 at Pettit & Martin, a major international law firm located in San Francisco. In 1989 she received a political appointment in the Bush administration to serve as Counsel to the Chairman of the Interstate Commerce Commission. In 1992 she returned to private practice, where she served as outside counsel to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society based in New York City. In 1990 she returned to her native Oregon, where she now resides in Eugene and maintains a private law practice narrowly focusing on legal issues surrounding the treatment of pain. She is licensed to practice in Oregon, California, and the District of Columbia.
Alternate Chairman - Kelly Lovelace, is a dedicated father and husband, a successful business owner, farmer and rancher who graduated from South Eugene High School in 1966. His family can trace its roots in Oregon all the way back to the Applegates of the mid 1800’s. Kelly currently runs his family farming operation in Pleasant Hill. He looks for forward serving the Lane County Republicans and you as Alternate Vice Chair.
Alternate Vice Chair - Becky Lemler, a life long Republican was born and raised in Southern Oregon. She is very politically active and was a Bonus Delegate during the last election term while running for State Representative District 10 in 2010, and in 2009 served as Lane County Chair of Americans for Prosperity.
Delegate - Duncan Murray, a native fifth generation Oregonian, serves as Delegate to the State Central Committee and Chairman of the Oregon Republican Party Resolutions Committee. Duncan retired after a 33-year career in the entertainment industry, working for The Walt Disney Company, National Lampoon, and as a consultant in the direct response TV marketplace. He currently is on the Board of Directors of National Lampoon, Inc. Duncan believes that the first priority of government is public safety; that markets, not governments, are the most efficient allocators of resources; and that you, not government, have first call on the dollars you earn.
Delegate - Shaylor Scalf - is an ordained minister of 42 years- married and has 3 daughters. He has always been active in the local politics and recently worked on the Michael Spasaro campaign. During the 2010 year, I put in many hours working out of the local GOP office and aided many candidates with walking, sign waving and just listening to them when they needed to vent. During 2010, he was the Lane County Chair for Americans for Prosperity.
Delegate - Dwight Coon - Dwight is the former Mayor and city councilman of Junction City. He was also a candidate for House District 14 in the 2010 cycle. He was born on a century farm north of Harrisburg. He has lived in Junction City for over 14 years. Dwight currently works for the City of Eugene Parks and Open Spaces and has been there for over 3 years. Some of his hobbies include; Mountain Climbing, Drag Racing and he enjoys plays guitar.
Delegate - Jake Pelroy - 25 year old Jake is the youngest of our board. Married to Sara and is an Iraq war veteran, his youth and experience are an awesome combination for the Lane County Republicans. He worked on the successful Jay Bozievich campaign for Lane County County Commissioner in 2010. He grew up in Veneta but now lives in the Sheldon area.
Alternate Delegates
Alternate Delegate - Wayne Lemler is serving his first term as Alternate Delegate of the Lane County Republican Party. He served as a member of the Republican Platform Committee in 2010. Wayne served his country in the United States Air Force and spent most of that time overseas. He witnessed firsthand the many forms of government people are subjected to. Because of this experience Wayne has a true appreciation of how special our American form of government (Republic) is.
Alternate Delegate - Candace McNie Cottell is a lifelong Republican. She chaired a dinner for Nancy Reagan, managed two congressional campaigns and she has worked for the party in many different capacities. She has fifteen grandchildren and recently she has been traveling the West Coast to speak to organizations about her book, the story of her husband's life as a member of British MI6.
Alternate Delegate - Pam Hamill is a life-long Republican and has always been actively involved in politics. She is a strong conservative, understands the role of government and how our rights are being usurped quietly behind our backs daily! Pam is a mother of six, grandmother of 5 (so far) and has been married to her husband, Dean, for 33 years. She has home schooled all of her children and is active in her church. Her two sons are Eagle Scouts and her four daughters have earned the equivalent awards from a church program for young women. Pam is currently busy building her new house, gardening, raising chickens and horses. She is a PCP, served on the committee to rewrite the Oregon Republican Platform and is excited to be a new Alternate Delegate. Pam will work hard to build an active group of Republicans in the Florence area and throughout Lane county. Her future desire is to help with Legislative work in Oregon and would be thrilled to help write GOOD laws and get rid of the BAD!

The executive committee meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month 6:30pm at the main headquarters on Coburg Road, Eugene, OR 97401. This is an open meeting. The Central Committee Meetings are held 3-4 times a year at Springfield City Hall 7pm. Please click on calendar for upcoming meetings and events!
