Automatic Acceptance:
Links requested will automatically be added to Lane GOP if:
(1) the link already appears on the Oregon State or National GOP websites;
(2) the link has timely content criteria stated herein. relevant for Lane County, Oregon; and
(3) the link is not disqualified by other
Automatic Disqualification:
Links requested will automatically be disqualified for addition to Lane GOP if:
(1) The link requestor requires payment of any kind in exchange for the link.
(2) The linking site is a Commercial site, which charges a fee for online products or services;
(3) The linking site exhibits hate, bias, discrimination, pornography, libelous or otherwise defamatory content;
(4) The linking site advocates or promotes the use of alcohol, tobacco, or illegal drugs;
(5) The linking site promotes or makes available adult or sexually oriented entertainment or materials;
(6) The linking site promotes or in any way facilitates gambling,prostitution, or any other conduct that is otherwise unlawful within the meaning of the law of any recognized public jurisdiction within the United States.
Discretionary Acceptance:
Links that do not qualify for automatic inclusion will be considered for inclusion based on the following discretionary factors:
- Is the recommended website an official Republican party-owned or supported website?
- Does the recommended website appear to complement existing information on www.lanegop.org?
- Does the recommended website appear to duplicate existing information on www.lanegop.org?
- Does the recommended website appear to provide content that is relevant, useful, timely, and authoritative for Lane County citizens?
Does the recommended website appear to provide information that is accurate and current?
Lane County GOP may exercise its sole discretion in determining whether to place requested links, and Lane County GOP reserves the right to deny or remove links if it determines that a web site contains misleading or unsubstantiated claims, conflicts with the purpose of the Lane County GOP or does not meet one or more points of the criteria set forth elsewhere in this policy
When the user clicks on the external web site link, he/she must have easy access back to www.lanegop.org. One of two options can accomplish this:
- A link to www.lanegop.org can be established on the external web site's main page; or
- The "Back" button returns the user to www.lanegop.org.
Removal Process
Lane County GOP reserves the right to remove links if it determines that a web site contains misleading or unsubstantiated claims, conflicts with the purpose of Lane County GOP or does not meet one or more of the criteria set forth elsewhere in this policy.
Links from www.lanegop.org will be reviewed periodically and may be removed for the following reasons:
