Support Our Troops Night 2011

  

Your Lane County Republican Party would like to thank everyone who purchased EMS tickets, with BBQ, for members of the military living in Lane County. This year’s turnout was great. We had a total of 146 tickets sold of which 102 were for members of the military and their families.
 
People were greeted outside the gate at a registration table where they received their tickets and some “American Flag” mints to enjoy during the game. The evening kicked off with an “all-you-could-eat BBQ that included two drinks of your choice.                                               
After an hour and a half of fellowship, that included receiving bags and t-shirts from the National Guard, everyone moved to the stands for the game. 
 
Being it was the EMS “Military Appreciation” night, there were military and their families throughout the stands. And in between innings the EMS involved them in some fun (and funny) contests.
                                      
Thanks for making another Lane County Republican Party event a success. Let’s see if next year we can double the number of military personnel that are our guests!

The executive committee meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month 6:30pm at the main headquarters on Coburg Road, Eugene, OR 97401. This is an open meeting. The Central Committee Meetings are held 3-4 times a year at Springfield City Hall 7pm. Please click on calendar for upcoming meetings and events!
